Introduction
Bridge Mills Galway Language Centre is a long-established English language and teacher-training centre in the heart of Galway city. Based since 1987 in a historic 18th-century mill overlooking the River Corrib, the school combines a distinctive city-centre location with a friendly, highly personalised approach to international education. In 2025, Bridge Mills joined the International House World Organisation, strengthening its international connections while retaining the individual character for which the Galway centre is known.
Through Erasmus+ staff mobility, Bridge Mills offers English language development, teacher refresher courses, CLIL, 21st-century skills, Irish culture and language, job shadowing and tailor-made professional-development programmes. Participants benefit from practical training, small-group interaction and cultural learning in one of Ireland’s most distinctive west coast cities.
