Learn from real English language classrooms in Ireland

Course outline

These job-shadowing programmes give English language teachers the opportunity to observe experienced teachers in real classroom settings and reflect on how different methods work in practice.

Depending on the centre, participants may observe lessons, explore approaches to learner engagement, feedback, differentiation and lesson planning, discuss teaching decisions with teachers and academic managers, and review classroom resources and assessment practices.

The focus is on practical professional learning: seeing teaching in action, comparing approaches and identifying ideas that participants can adapt for their own learners and teaching contexts.
